Guatemala Mission Trip - June 17 - 26, 2011

2011 Guatemala Prayer Guide

Guatemala kids     Guatemala Stove

In partnership with Hands for Peacemaking Foundation, Marine View is sending a mission team of 14 to Guatemala in June, 2011. The team will be working in a rural village near Barillas, Guatemala installing 90 vented stoves. These stoves replace open fires, the current method of cooking inside the villager’s homes. This change to vented stoves will greatly improve the health and quality of life for the villagers.  Also, the team is taking gifts of Bibles & children’s fun bags to share a message of God’s love and hope with His children in Guatemala.

This year’s team will be staying in the village, giving them an opportunity to more closely experience the daily life of the villagers.

We would love for you to have the opportunity to participate in this worthy mission. Both financial and prayer support would be greatly appreciated.

·         If you wish to donate to help cover cost of stoves ($250), bibles and general mission trips expenses, place your contribution in the offering plate or send to Marine View Presbyterian Church, 8469 Eastside Drive NE, Tacoma, WA 98422. Also, you can make your contribution online at the Hands for Peacemaking website: http://www.handsforpeacemaking.org/

When you open the site, choose the Donate tab, fill in your information and check Marine View Church as recipient under Donation Details.

·        See above for the link to the 2011 Guatemala Mission Team Prayer Guide. Your prayers for the team members and the Barilla villagers they will serve are necessary for our mission to be a success.

On behalf of Marine View’s 2011 Guatemala Mission Team, thank you for your support and partnership in ministry!

Sharing Christ's Gospel with the World

Mission Outreach is the opportunity that Christ gives each of us to change lives for Him while compassionately meeting the needs of others. By focusing on international mission and being actively involved through prayer, personal service and giving, members of the Marine View family can make a spiritual difference for people around the world. Following Jesus' commission to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19), these organizations, projects and mission workers will be strengthened through your support.

"And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message..." (Colossians 4:3).
