Hearts and Hands
Join us every month on the 2nd Saturday from 9am-12noon and the 4th Monday from 6-9pm in McKenzie Hall, as we work on handmade items for charity. We don't just quilt! Marine View's Bike Ministry
Marine View's Bike Ministry has a growing recognition in our community! We are receiving approximately half of our annual inventory from direct donations now. The rest still come from Police Departments. Often, anonymous donations are made but tax deductible receipts are given to most who donate.
Over 300 bikes are refurbished annually for deserving children and adults. Rather than screening for qualification for a bike and serving individual needs at the shop, we network with various agencies and social workers who determine their client's need and distribute for us. Examples include Tacoma Rescue Mission, Federal Way Christmas House, Good Samaritan Behavioral Health (Puyallup), and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
