Five Things God Uses to Grow Your Faith

Discover the 5 Catalysts for Spiritual Growth.

At Marine View, our goal is to help you grow in your faith as a follower of Jesus. We call this mission, ‘Mobilizing people to go deeper with Jesus and reach wider with his love.’ We also know that each one of you is in a different place in life and faith and the way you grow will be unique to you. Knowing this, we want to provide you with a variety of opportunities to take next steps in your spiritual growth. Why? Because of something Jesus said.

Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself.” With these words, Jesus set the frame for spiritual growth. Love God. Love your neighbor.

At Marine View, the Great Commandment is the foundation of our understanding of spiritual growth. Through Jesus’ teaching we discover that spiritual growth is really about growing in three key relationships. With God. With our neighbors in the church. With our neighbors outside of the church.

When we grow in our love of God, in community with brothers and sisters in Christ, and in influence with the unchurched in our world, this is spiritual growth.

The challenge is, sometimes we aren’t sure how to take next steps to grow in our love of God and others. And yet, spiritual growth is central to our life as followers of Jesus.

In our March sermon series, you will discover five things God uses to grow your faith. You will be encouraged to think about your life and faith and take next steps to invest in these catalysts for spiritual growth.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to go deeper, join me March 6 and 13 in McKenzie Hall during the 10:15 Music segment for a next level conversation.
