This April, we’re setting aside two days as a church for the purpose of coming together to reach wider with God’s love by putting our faith into action. We call it Faith-in-Action weekend as we serve together in our community. On Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, I challenge you to join a project as part of this effort.
SUNDAY - APRIL 24 - MORNING SCHEDULE
9:00 AM - Music
9:35 AM - Message
10:30 AM - Projects Begin*
*Not signed-up for a project - no problem - you can join us on Sunday for Music and a Message. If you'd like to join a project on Sunday, feel free to jump in.
If you have questions, project ideas, or would like to help the Mission Team as they coordinate volunteers contact: Marine View Youth Director, Beau Pugh at: Beau@marineviewpc.org or Marine View Mission Team member, Doug Jones at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wondering if there’s a project suited to your skills and abilities? As a multi-generational church family, the Mission Team has worked hard to create a variety of projects from things like yard work in the community to less physically involved projects like making packets for the Guatemala Mission Team at the church. We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
As we serve our community, our life together reflects and is connected to the Great Commandment Jesus gave us to love God with everything we are and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
We know that many of you at Marine View, work hard to put your faith into action at work, at school, in your homes, in your relationships, and in the community. On Faith-in-Action weekend, we will come together to serve and to build our relationships with one another.
In our life together as followers of Jesus at Marine View, we believe it is important to move beyond words to action. Our mission and vision as a church speaks to the importance of reaching wider with God’s love to those around us – and it’s critical that we connect those words to concrete action in our daily lives and in our life together as a church community.
Thank you for your faithfulness to love and serve God and others.
